Serena Williams and Drake were filmed “making out” and having dinner Sunday night. They were seen at an elaborate Cincinnati restaurant, sending the Internet into an uproar. Many people were left raising some serious questions (and not just, “Wait, there are fancy restaurants in Cincinnati?”)
Precisely how long has this been going on? He apparently did just that, because a year ago, Drizzy was at the center of a rumored rivalry between Williams and Rihanna. A feud supposedly culminated backstage in a concert in Paris. Serena and Rihanna “had it out” (thankfully, “nothing physical happened”).
Drake was flirting with Serena via Twitter. “I cannot wait to put it on you and make you sweat…during our match this weekend.”
And as long as we are sifting through social media detritus for hints, this is what was found: After winning the Cincinnati tournament Williams posted a rejoicing photo that also contained a #backtoback hashtag. And, yes, she may have been referring to her actual accomplishments or she might happen to be making reference to her new beau’s recent Meek Factory diss track of the same name.
There is also this video taken in the Western and Southern Open tournament. In the video Drake and Williams exchange glances and smiles from across the court. Evidence of an intimate relationship isn’t proven here, but they sure do look adorable.
Regardless of whether tennis has a First Couple that is new, it should make next week’s US Open more intriguing. That is if Serena’s shot at tennis immortality was not already enough reason for you. The U.S. Open will start on Monday, August 31st. Serena has conquered the “Serena Slam” and will be going for the calendar Grand Slam. If she wins the U.S. Open, she will be tied with Steffi Graf for 22 grand slams. Steffi Graf is the current leader for the most grand slams for the women.
